Journalist Aykol to be put back into induced coma 2025-10-20 15:34:24   ANKARA — It has been reported that journalist Huseyin Aykol, who was intubated following a brain hemorrhage in Ankara, will be put back into an induced coma.   Aykol, a journalist and writer, suffered a brain hemorrhage at his home in Ankara on October 14 and experienced a second hemorrhage after being taken to the hospital. His treatment continues in the intensive care unit of Sincan Training and Research Hospital. The medication used to keep him sedated had been stopped some time ago.   Doctors stated that an infection has developed in Aykol's lungs and that he will be put back into induced coma again for a few days to allow treatment to proceed safely.    It was also reported that Aykol remains unconscious and that his condition is still life-threatening.
