Law suit filed against Şiban, thrown out of a military helicopter

VAN - A lawsuit was filed against Osman Şiban, who was seriously injured after being thrown from a helicopter by the soldiers in Çatak, on the allegation of "being a member of a terrorist organization".
 
A lawsuit has been filed against Osman Şiban, who was thrown from a military helicopter after he was detained with Servet Turgut by the soldiers who were donducting an operation on September 11, 2020 in the rural area of Çatak district of Van. The indictment prepared by the Van Chief Public Prosecutor's Office with the allegation of "being a member of a terrorist organization" was accepted by the Van 5th High Criminal Court. The court gave a "non-jurisdiction" decision due to Şiban's residence and sent the file to Mersin.
 
REASON FOR THE LAW SUIT: THERE WERE INTELLIGENCE
 
It was claimed in the indicmtnet that Şiban was involved in ' militant actitivities' and transporting logistics and living materials to the rural area with the order of the organization. In the indictment which claimed that there was intelligence against Şiban. Şiban was also accused of having a diesel fuel and a cylinder in a place close to his home. The most striking thing in the indictment was the claims of a confessor. Confessor told that there was a meeting in Şiban's house between 1980- 1990 attended by PKK Executive Committee member Murat Karayılan and one of the PKK commanders, Mahsun Korkmaz.
 
WHAT HAPPENED?
 
Villagers Osman Şiban and Servet Turgut was detained by soldiers who were conducting an operation in the Çatak district of Van and put them in a military helicopter. Turgut and Şiban turned out at the ICU of Van Regional Research and Training Hospital. Mesopotamia Agency (MA) obtained the medical reports and the photos of the two men tortured. Turgut lost his life after 20 days in the ICU. 
 
JOURNALISTS ARRESTED
 
Mesopotamia Agency (MA) reporters Adnan Bilen and Cemil Uğur, Jinnews reporter Şehriban Abi and journalist Nazan Sala was arrested after breaking the story. 70 days after their arrest Mesopotamia Agency reporter Zeynep Durgut was detained and released after 4 days with judicial control measures. 4 arrested journalist stood trial for the first time in April 2 with the accusation of 'being a member of a terrorist organisation' and released with judicial control measures.
