Süphan Çabuk, who was imprisoned in Rize Kalkandere Type L Closed Prison, was murdered. It was stated that Çabuk died in the hospital where he was hospitalized due to illness.

In the "Report of violations of rights in Black Sea regional prisons" released by the Association for Lawyers for Freedom (ÖHD) in August, there was a violation regarding Çabuk: "The prisoner named Süphan ÇABUK had blood clotting and he was not adequately treated".
