RIHA - Speaking at the resistance vigil started on the Pirsûs-Kobanê border against Turkey's attacks, "We are ready for the message of Leader and the message must be protected," says DEM Party Riha MP Ferit Şenyaşar.

The vigil started in Pirsûs (Suruç) district of Riha (Urfa), which is on the border with Kobanê, against the attacks against North and East Syria continues on its 8th day. The vigil started under the leadership of Democratic Regions Party (DBP), Peoples' Equality and Democracy Party (DEM Party) and Free Women's Movement (Tevgera Jinên Azad-TJA) was attended by representatives of the Association for Assistance and Solidarity with the Families Who Lost Their Relatives in the Cradle of Civilisations (MEBYA-DER) from Amed (Diyarbakır), DEM Party Xana Axpar (Çınar) district organisation, DEM Party MPs, members of the Riha Peace Mothers Assembly and many people.

During the vigil, which continued throughout the day despite the cold weather and rain, a statement was made in reaction to the attacks against the Autonomous Administration of North and East Syria, accompanied by the banner "Rojava rûmeta meyê/ Rojava is our honour".

CALL FOR PIRSÛS MARCH

Speaking at the statement, MEBYA-DER Xana Axpar district representative Rıdvan Öncel stated that they were at the Kobanê border 10 years ago and said: "We came here so that there would be no massacres. We invite everyone to the march to be held in Pirsûs on 3 January."

IMRALI MESSAGE

DEM Party Riha MP Ferit Şenyaşar stated that they are in solidarity with the people of Kobanê. "Erdoğan should withdraw the mercenary gangs from Rojava. In the meeting with İmralı yesterday, Leader (Abdullah Öcalan) had an important message. We say 'we are ready' for the message. The message of the Leader must be protected. We will not give up our action until Rojava is liberated. Just as we resisted with the spirit of Kobanê in 2014, we will continue to resist again."

The statement ended with applause.
