MÊRDÎN - The activists who continue their vigil on the Nisêbîn-Qamîshlo border stated that they embrace the message of PKK Leader Abdullah Öcalan and says, "The solution depends on the opening of the Imrali doors."

The vigil started at the Qamishlo border in Nisêbîn (Nusaybin) district of Mêrdîn (Mardin) against the attacks of Turkey and the Syrian National Army (SNA) against North and East Syria continues on its 23rd day. DEM Party Mêrdîn district co-chairs who participated in the vigil called for an end to Turkey's attacks and a sincere approach to the talks with PKK Leader Abdullah Öcalan.

Veli Arpa, DEM Party Şemrex District Co-Chair Veli Arpa stated that North and East Syria is a part of Kurdistan and said, "Today, everyone who calls themselves a human being should be with the Kurdish people. Rojava is a matter of existence for us. Because if Rojava wins, all Kurds will win. Today, the Kurds have made a gain in Rojava, but it does not come to someone's account. It does not come to whose account, it does not come to the account of the occupying states. For this reason, the state is attacking Rojava with all of its gangs. Against these attacks, we are defending Rojava today,"

Stating that the main cause of all the problems experienced is due to the mistakes of the system, Arpa said, "Just as they are releasing gangs on our people in Rojava today, all the problems experienced are done by the hand of the same system. The solution is clear. It is Mr Öcalan who will solve this problem and all problems. There is no one else to solve it. For this reason, we are also happy about the talks with him. I hope that the outcome of these talks will be good and all these problems will be solved."

ATTACK ON DEMOCRATIC MODERNITY

DEM Party Dêrik District Co-Chair Selahattin İzci also drew attention to the paradigm put forward by Öcalan and said, "This paradigm has come to life in Rojava today, it has been put into practice and today it includes all religions, identities, cultures and peoples and makes them live together. This situation frightens the world leaders we call capitalist modernity. The world system sees this paradigm as its alternative. This is actually the main reason underlying these attacks on Rojava. Because we are the alternative to capitalist modernity, we are subjected to attacks because we defend democratic modernity. For this reason, we say that Rojava is the reason for our existence".

Stating that the Democratic Modernity paradigm is implemented in Rojava, İzci said, "For five thousand years, these nation states have turned the world into hell, but our paradigm illuminates the world like the sun against this darkness. In other words, they turned the world into hell, but we will turn the world into heaven. This is our goal and purpose. For this reason, we say that the entire Kurdish people should stand up for Rojava. Because the freedom of the four parts of Kurdistan depends on Rojava. The practice carried out in Rojava was built on the principles of the women's revolution. This revolution is an example for all of us and we must defend it first and foremost. What is revealed there is 45 years of labour. We must not abandon our 45 years of labour."

'WE STAND BY OUR PEOPLE'

Kadriye Akar, Co-Chair of Dêrik district, said that they will continue their protests as long as the attacks against North and East Syria continue, "What do they aim by killing, massacring and unjustising Kurds? As long as the state continues to carry out these attacks, we will sit here.  We are with our people and Rojava. We will not leave Rojava alone and we will defend Rojava even if a drop of our blood remains."

Referring to the messages published after the İmralı meeting, Kadriye Akar said, "We are excited about the messages coming from İmralı. We want there to be no deaths. We want brotherhood, we want equality, we do not want any harm to come to our own people or any other people. Neither their mothers should cry nor our mothers should cry."

'WE ARE FOUR PARTS, WE ARE THE SAME'

Stating that they will sit at the border until their protests reach their goal, Peace Mother Emine Koç said: "We are four parts of one and we are the same. Why are they trying to put a difference between us, they are all our relatives, uncles, aunts, brothers and sisters, we are the same. For this reason, we will not leave here as long as they carry out these attacks. Let them end these attacks and we will get up. If they do not leave there, if they do not leave Rojava, we will not leave here, we will not get up."

Stating that they support the message from İmralı, Emine Koç continued: "If they will obey these messages, we are ready. We are all behind Mr Abdullah Öcalan. We want peace and humanity. We want Mr Öcalan to be released and all prisoners to be released. We want everyone to be released from prison, we don't want anyone to die. The solution depends on the opening of the İmralı doors and the release of Mr Abdullah Öcalan."
