RIHA - DEM Party Sewereg district co-chair Selma Gözgü Ayebe, speaking at the vigil action started on the Kobanê border, emphasised that "honourable life in Rojava is no longer a utopia".
The vigil started in Pirsûs (Suruç) district of Riha (Urfa) on the border of Kobanê against the attacks on North and East Syria continues on its 13th day. During the vigil led by Democratic Regions Party (DBP), Peoples' Equality and Democracy Party (DEM Party) and Free Women's Movement (Tevgera Jinên Azad-TJA), banners reading "Rojava xeta me ya sore (Rojava is our red line)" and "Nazım û Cihan rûmeta me ye (Nazım and Cihan are our honour)" were hung in the area.

DEM Party Sewereg District Co-Chair Selma Gözgü Ayebe stated that the peoples in North and East Syria are struggling for humanity and said, "In Rojava, we have seen that honourable life is no longer a utopia, but has become a reality with the philosophy of 'Jin jiyan azadi (Woman, life, freedom)'. Because of this, especially we women need to protect Rojava."
DEM Party Sewereg district co-chair Ali Dusak said, "A dirty war policy is being waged in Rojava. Kobanê did not fall, but their mask fell. The unity of Kurds means the first step of the construction of freedom."
The statement ended with the slogans "Bijî berxwêdana Rojava (Long live resistance of Rojava)".
