DİYARBAKIR- HDP members who was taken under custody with a police raid because they supported the hunger strike and was released after 8 days, said they will never stand their ground and never take a step back.

 

The 35 hunger strikers who were taken under custody with a police raid from People's Democratic Party (HDP District building and was released after with judicial control decision  have made a press statement in the district building.Party members attended the press statement including HDP Dİyarbakır Co-chair Filiz Buluttekin and Democratic Districts Party (DBP) Districk co-chairs İbrahim Çiçek and Naşide Toprak.

 

While HDP Kulp District  Co-chair Abidin Karaman read the statement in Turkish, HDP Sur District Co-chair Mehmet Ali Altunayak have read the statement in Kurdish.

 

Karaman who drew attention to the de-conflict period during the solution process, said Öcalan have developed discussion through that period and therefore a hope for peace occured in the country and there were no blood shed.

 

Karaman who stated that it is not possible to approach Öcalan ordinarily, said: "We as HDP are saying again and again thet the mission of Mr. Öcalan is important because we are against the blood and tears in this country. We want to remind everyone that war will never bring peace to the people of Turkey and that Mr. Öcalan is the assurance for the people living in peace and tranquility."

 

Karaman who protested the police intervention to those who support the hunger stike of Leyla Güven, said: " In the election process, we say that our party provincial and district administrators have been kept unlawfully for days and there is a fascist attack on our election activities. In this respect, we are saying that we will never step back against these pressures against our party and we will continue our right struggle."

 

The statement ended with slogans saying 'Oppression can not intimidate us.'
