DİYARBAKIR- Lice being in the first place, 1058 hamlets and villages in Hani, Kocaköy, Silvan, Kulp and Hazro have passed the year 2018 under curfews.

 

Many districts of rural Diyarbakır have passed the year 2018 with the heavy security measures of the curfews. Curfews were declared in 6 districts and 1058 villages during  2018. The curfews in the rural area lasted for a week sometimes. Military operations were conducted simultaneously with the curfews, and armed unmanned aerial vehicles (SİHA) and unmanned aerial vehicles (İHA)  were used for surveilence, while military units blockaded the enterances and exits of the areas. Hundreds of homes were raided while people were subjected to general information retrieval (GBT) in every check point.

 

People living in the area earning their lives from husbandry and the animals were effected from the curfews because they were not allowed to turn out their animals. The animals of the peasants was usually famished.
