DİYARBAKIR- In her letter to the TJA women, Leyla Güven who has been on a hunger strike for 77 days said: "With the flowing energy, the isolation in İmralı will break. We will make the victory absolute, and we will see to the end."

 

The letter Güven sent to the TJA women is as follows: 

 

" I salut you from the 71st day of the hunger strike with a heart growing faith and enthusiasm. My women comrades whose hearts are beating with the faith of revolution.

 

A Yezidi proverb says: " In our lands, first the women wakes up, then the sun rises. Because the women gives birth to the sun.Isn't it beautiful? It is about the women resisting the darkness, resisting in the frontlines today.Yes, women have waken up.They got on the road with the diffidence of being late. For sure they knew the road was tough and long.The voice raising from the dungeons of Amed got thorugh the walls and found a response. The voice turned into a melody and was sung in unison. What did the women beautify by the resistance with her crystal voice 'Every heart sings its own song'. Just like every period, every process and revolution, this folk song is the song of women.It is understood that everyone's first wish is the same. We have been the speakers of the same language without talking to each other with our struggle. Now it is certain what we must do.The energy that flows will break the isolation.We will make the victory absolute, and we will see to the end

 

As Kurdish women, to lead the way to the termination of isolation of Mr. Öcalan whom we are in debt to is historically and conscientiously our duty. Resisting against all forms of torture, which is the product of patriarchal mentality, is the only solution.

 

We have not hesitated in this historical process and in our way of resistance to success. Because we have never accepted the coffin of İmralı, which is against the mind, conscience, morality, and law, for 21 years, we saw it as an obstacle to peace.Those who created this system, those who design, foresee, implement, we asked how they will give this account to history! We know that no one will believe that this is a human design and will be cursed on the pages of history as the disgrace and shame of mankind. If the power system that created it deserves to rule over women, nature, powerless, helpless, prisoners, we, as women, who are half of the society, will use our right to legitimate struggle against this mentality and we will eliminate it.

 

We know that freedom comes with how much you struggle.We never accepted the representation of liberalism or the imposition of fascism.We as the comrades of the third road, the ones creating their own way and line have determined the path we want to walk, not the one we have to walk and we are moving forward with confident steps.

 

 In this sense, I believe, we believe in this struggle we started on the strength of our people with the rallying cry 'Let's break the isolation, tear down fascism, let's free Kurdistan!'

 

With this belief, I embrace all of you with a never-ending longing and love, kissing you thousands times from your revolutionary hearts.
