NEWS DESK- International Women's Initiative published a statement for Leyla Güven who has been on hunger strike for 83 days protesting the isolation of Abdullah Öcalan and said: "By raising public awareness, send letters to your governments to ask the Turkish government to respect the rights of Leyla Güven and Abdullah Öcalan"

 

International Women's Initiative published a statement with the title 'Save Leyla Güven's life' for Democratic Society Congress (DTK) Co-chair and People's Democratic Party (HDP) Hakkari Deputy Leyla Güven who has been on a hunger strike for 83 days protesting the isolation on PKK Leader Abdullah Öcalan.

 

The statement read: " As members of the initiative we are calling on to the Eueopean institutions like The Council of Europe (EC), the European Committee for the Prevention of Torture (CPT) including the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe (OSCE); to to fulfill its legal and political obligations to act against President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan's autocratic regime "
