İZMİR- HDP Women's Assembly who visited DTK Co-Chair Güven who is on an indefinite non-rotating hunger strike for 114 days said: "Leyla Güven cheered us up.We will tell everyone about her resistance in the upcoming 31 March local elections" and called for support.

 

The hunger strike initiated by Democratic Society Congress (DTK) Co-chair and People's Democratic Party (HDP) Hakkari Deputy Leyla Güven to protest the isolation on PKK Leader Abdullah Öcalan continues on its 114nd day. The hunger strikes of the prisoners in 67 different prisons all around the country with the same demand continues as well. There are 331 prisoners who are on hunger strike with Leyla Güven. Many people visited Güven for support from different cities in Turkey and international committees and institutions. HDP Aegean Region Women's Assembly is one of them.

 

 

HDP Party Assembly member Berna Çelik said that their visit to Güven filled them up with great morale and that they will tell everyone about the isolation and Güven's resistance in the upcoming March 31 local elections.Çelik conveyed Güven's message where she said: "Do not feel bad. and tell the mothers not to feel bad too. I am not more valueable than our friends in the prisons. The victory is so close. Our hunger strike will continue until our demand is met."
