MUŞ - HDK Co-Spokesperson Gülistan Kılıç Koçyiğit who stated that the İmralı isolation is the continuation of the mentality of insolubility, said the government consolidates their voter base by hostility towards the Kurdish instead of solving the Kurdish problem.

People's Democratic Congress (HDK) Co- Spokesperson and People's Democratic Party (HDP) Muş MP Gülistan Kılıç Koçyiğit evaluated the isolation on PKK Leader Abdullah Öcalan, the trustees appointed to HDP Municipalitiyes, the early election discussions and the common struggle issues.

Koçyiğit, stating that the isolation on PKK Leader Abdullah Öcalan is not new, said that the isolation continues since 1999. Koçyiğit underlining that İmralı is being used as a lab in terms of prisons, said: "In this sense, Mr. Öcalan is under isolation since the day he was brought to Turkey and put into İmralı Maximum Security Prison. Let us say clearly, we must express that İmralı has a special system in Turkey that seperates it from literally all other prisons in Turkey. It is like a lab where many applications were originally tried and implemented in İmralı and then spread to many prisons and spread to the whole country."

Koçyiğit recalling the words of PKK Leader Öcalan where he said: "I am trying to make room for the Kurds.Let's solve the Kurdish problem. I say in a week I will eliminate the possibility of conflict. I'm ready for a solution. However, the government must also do their part with its state mind'; emphasized that no problem will be solved in Turkey unless the Kurdish problem is adressed and solved. Koçyiğit drawing attention to the fact that the isolation in İmralı is a product of the insolvibility mentality, said: "The Kurdish problem is one of the oldest problems in Turkey.  It is one of the most complicated and deepest problems, but it is one of the problems that will be solved very quickly. Mr. Öcalan said he would solve it in a week. They do not want to let the people hear the sound of the person that will solve it in a week. Because they feed on non-solution. Because they feed on violence. They are consolidating their bases through war, violence, bloodshed, tears and hostilities. They are continuing this policy because it serves their policies at the moment."
