İSTANBUL - The allagations about Halil İbrahim Kaya who was appointed as a manager to Bursa Cem Sultan Anatolian Religious Vocational High School (İmam Hatip) caused great reactions in the city. Accused of covering up the sexual harassment at school, Kahya planted the fruit trees he made the students buy, to his own garden.

The allegations about Halil İbrahim Kahya, who was appointed to the Cem Sultan Anatolian Imam Hatip High School in Orhangazi District of Bursa in August 2018, stirred the city. Accused of covering up a sexual harassment incident at school, Kahya planted the fruit trees he bought with the money she collected from the students in his garden.

1800 TL COLLECTED FROM STUDENTS

School manager Kahya collected 1800 TL from around 90 students for a tree planting activity, and he made the students plant those trees to his house's garden. The students who sent their complaints about the teacher to CİMER, encountered the pressure of the manager Kahya this time. Students told that they were pressured by the school manager to leave the school and was threatened by him. The students whose names we will not disclose, stated that Kahya closed the gates of the school early in order no make them be late for class to record them absent. The students who stated that the manager told them he will ruin their lives if they did not leave the school, said their absenteeism was being deleted if they donate money to the school council.

HE COVERED UP SEXUAL HARASSMENT

The students who told about a sexual harassment incident at school, said the student that was assaulted was sent from school and the assialants were guaranteed to be exempt from punishment if they enrolled in other schools.  The students who claimed that the incident was covered up, said that the manager Kahya who gathered them around said: "This has nothing to do with you. You made this grow out of proportion. We have already been trying to cover this up. I know some very important people. The president is one phone call away. No one can do anything to me!"

The students who stated that some of their friends have dropped out of school, said Kahya is a former Ensar Foundation member and he had to leave there over an harassment complaint.

SCHOOL MANAGER:THEY DID NOT SHOW US A PLACE FOR THE TREES SO I PLANTED THEM IN MY GARDEN

School manager Halil İbrahim Kaya, whom we called about the allegations, said that no one showed him a place for the planting of trees so he made the students plant the trees to his own garden.

WE DID EVERYTHING

Stating that there is nothing important about the sexual harassment allegation and that they took the necessary steps, stated that he was not a member of Ensar Foundation, that all allegations of the students are lies and he was being slandered.
