İbrahim Gökçek who lost his life on the 323rd day of his death fast was recieved by his family and friends from the morgue of the Reşadiye Cemetery and buried in Aleppo Cemetery.

 

Many armored vehicles, riot police and special operations police were kept inside and outside the cemetery. Sultan Gökçek, İbrahim's wife who was brought from prison attended the funeral with the escort of gendermerie. Sultan Gökçek took one last look at her husband and said her fairwells before the burial.

 

While nobody was allowed in the cemetery during the funeral, his family was allowed to place carnations on his grave. Gökçek friends who wanted to make a statement after the funeral, were prevented by the police. The crowd responded with slogans.

 

Gökçek's attorney Ayşegül Çağatay, stated that Sultan Gökçek was taken to the family house and they did not have any information as to when she will be taken back to prison.
