İSTANBUL - 17 people detained after the police attack against the funeral of Grup Yorum member Ibrahim Gökçek were released with a prohibition to leave the country.
17 people who were beaten and later taken into custody after the attack organized by the police at the funeral of Grup Yorum member Ibrahim Gökçek, who died two days after calling off a 323-day death fast, were taken to Çağlayan Courthouse.
After appearing in front of the court at a hearing followed by HDP deputy Züleyha Gülüm and many lawyers, 17 people, including lawyers and Grup Yorum members, were released with a prohibition to leave the country.
Most of the 17 people who were welcomed by friends and relatives in front of the courthouse had bruises in the face and around their eyes.
