NEWS CENTER - Federated Kurdistan Region President Nechirvan Barzani is in Iran to attend official meetings. It was stated that the Kurdistan Parliament elections were on the agenda of the visit.

 

President of the Kurdistan Region Nechirvan Barzani, who went to Tehran, the capital of Iran, yesterday for official contacts, met with President Ibrahim Reisi. Barzani then met with Iran's religious leader Ali Khamenei.

 

Sharqul Avsat claimed that Barzani's visit was carried out to ask the Iranian authorities to put pressure on the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan (PUK) to postpone the Kurdistan Region Parliament election.
