Veysi Aktaş who held in İmralı releases 2025-07-26 09:10:17 ISTANBUL - Veysi Aktaş, whose release was postponed for a year and 3 months and who has been in İmralı Prison for 10 years, was released.   Veysi Aktaş, who was held in İmralı F-Type High Security Prison, was released after 31 years and 3 months. Aktaş, who completed 30 years in prison, legally completed the execution of his 30-year sentence on 28 April 2024. However, Aktaş's release was postponed for one year with the decision of the Administration and Observation Board.   After one year, Aktaş's release was postponed for another 3 months. Aktaş was released from İmralı Prison on 25 July.   HE WAS TRANSFERRED TO IMRALI IN 2015   Veysi Aktaş was transferred to İmralı in 2015 together with Mehmet Sait Yıldırım, Ömer Hayri Konar, Çetin Arkaş and Nasrullah Kuran for "secretariat" duty during the so-called "solution process" between 2013 and 2015.    MA / Diren Yurtsever
