URFA - Speaking about the allegations on the social media regarding PKK Leader Abdullah Öcalan, his brother Mehmet Öcalan said they were not able to see him for a year now and added: "We are concerned. THe government is responsible."
Mehmet Öcalan, brother of PKK Leader Abdullah Öcalan being held in İmralı Type F Closed Prison spoke to Mesopotamia Agency about the allegations about his brother on the social media. Stating that as the family, they have not been informed, Öcalan told they were concerned.
'GOVERNMENT IS RESPONSIBLE'
Underlining that they were able to see his brother on March 3, 2020 last, when there was a rumour about a fire in İmralı, Öcalan told as the family, they haven't heard from him for a year now. Öcalan said: "We are concerned. The government is responsible for that. They have to inform us. They haven't said anything so far. Everything is forbidden. We have to be informed. He is in the middle of the sea. We can't recieve any news. We are submitting applications via our lawyers all the time but they are not responded."
