DİYARBAKIR - It was learned that AbdulSıttar Özer whom the Ministry of Interior told to be killed during a military operation was under treatment in a hospital in Diyarbakır. Photos of Özer injured and handcuffed behind his back were revealed after he was announced to be dead.
A military operation has been going on in the countryside of Lice district of Diyarbakır which was launcged on April 14. According to statements made by Ministry of Interior, two HPG members were killed in the operation. Local sources made a striking claim about the operation. It was stated that a HPG member was caught alive in the operation, but there is no information about what happened to him. A photo of Abdulsıttar injured and handcuffed behind his back were revealed after he was announced to be dead.
FAMILY APPLIED TO THE PROSECUTOR'S OFFICE
The Özer family, who came to Diyarbakır from Van on the second day of the operation, applied to the Diyarbakır Provincial Gendarmerie Command and asked about the whereabouts of Özer from HPG. His family, who could not get any information, applied to the Diyarbakır Public Prosecutor's Office for a DNA when Özer was announced to be killed.
After the procedures for the DNA test were completed, the lawyers of the Özer family met with the prosecutor. The authorized prosecutor informed that Özer did not lose his life but captured injured and currently being treated at the hospital.
The lawyers of the family conveyed the request of the family to see Özer but the request was rejected by the prosecutor's office. The lawyers, then applied to the Criminal Court of First Instance on duty to get permission to see HPG member Özer.

Özer's brother İbrahim Özer told that no information has been provided to the family on which hospital his brother is being treated or how he's doing and told that they are waiting for a response from the court on duty.

It was stated that HPG member Özer will be taken to Lice Gendermerie Command after being treated at the hospital. Which hospital Özer is being treated remains unknown.
