ANKARA - Along with HDP Co-Chairs Pervin Buldan and Mithat Sancar, HDP will be following the Kobané hearing to be held in the Sincan Prison Campus with full complement.
Six years and 3 months after the October 6-8 protests against ISIS attacks on Kobanê, the Kobané hearing in which 108 HDP members including former Peoples' Democratic Party (HDP) Co-Chairs Selahattin Demirtaş and Figen Yüksekdağ will be standing trial, will be held at the Ankara 22nd High Criminal Court in Sincan Prison Campus. 28 of the 108 people to stand trial today, are currently behind bars pending trial.
HDP completed its preperations regarding the hearing. Citizens gathered in front of HDP Ankara provincial and district organizations will go to Sincan by buses HDP hired. There is a commission of HDP MPs to ease the possible tension to be experienced in front of the courtroom.
HDP WILL ATTEND IN FULL COMPLEMENT
HDP will follow the case in full complement with its Party Assembly as well as foreign delegations, bar presidents and represantatives and members of NGOs.
PRESS RELEASE AHEAD OF THE TRIAL
HDP Co-Chairs Mithat Sancar and Pervin Buldan will make a statement in front of the prison before the hearing that will begin at 9.30. The coordination of the entrances to the court room where the hearing will be held will also be provided by the HDP.
