ANKARA – Scores of people were detained in the police attack on the Justice Watch organized by the HDP in front of Sincan Prison for the release of Ömer Faruk Gergerlioğlu.
Peoples' Democratic Party (HDP) launched a sit in in front of Sincan Prison for HDP Kocaeli MP Ömer Faruk Gergerlioğlu, who was not released despite the Constitutional Court's decision of violation. Attacking the sit in, the police battered Gergerlioğlu's son Salih Gergerlioğlu and detained him. The police also intervened with the journalists who wanted to take pictures during the detention of Gergerlioğlu.
Police confiscated journalists' equipment and threatened journalists, including our reporters, to confiscate their phones.
While many people were detained in the police attack, HDP supporters continue the Justice Watch.
