URFA - Continuing the Justice Watch in front of the Urfa Courthouse, Şenyaşar family underlined that the massacre took place 3 years ago and asked, "Why hasn't an investigation been opened for 3 and a half years? "
The sit in Şenyaşar family refers to as the 'Justice Watch' started by Emine Şenyaşar who lost her husband and two sons in the attack carried out by the relatives and bodyguards of AKP Urfa MP İbrahim Halil Yıldız and Ferit Şenyaşar who survived the attack wounded is on its 232th day today. Arriving at the court house early in the morning the family started the sit in for the day with the banner written, 'We just want justice'.
FAMILY REMINDS ARTICLE 138
Speaking during the sit in, Ferit Şenyaşar underlined that they have been staging a sit in there for the last 8 months and said: "It has been three years since the massacre in Suruç State Hospital. No legal action was taken since then. They are walking freely among innocent people. The President, the President of the Court of Cassation, the Ministry of Justice, referring to Article 138 of the Constitution, say that no authority or person can give instructions and orders to judges and prosecutors. We have been in front of this courthouse for 8 months now. 3 people were killed in Suruç State Hospital. The ambulance carrying us was destroyed during their attack. This is a crime against humanity. And those who committed this crime against humanity are now walking free in society. This is unacceptable."
'OUR STRUGGLE WILL CONTINUE'
Şenyaşar asked, "If no one can give instructions or orders to the judges and prosecutors, how come no legal action was taken against the perpetrators for three people that were killed in broad day light in a state hospital? Because an AKP MP is involved and no prosecutor can dare to launch an investigation into these murders. They are acting on political instructions. We will continue our struggle until our demands are met."
'WHY DON'T YOU LAUNCH AN INVESTIGATION?'
Tagging President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, the Supreme Court, the Urfa Chief Public Prosecutor and the Ministry of Justice, Şenyaşar family shared the following from their Twitter account, "Those who talk about Article 138 of the Constitution should first look at the Şanlıurfa Courthouse and then speak. Who killed these three people? Why? Why don't you launch an investigation into it?"
