NEWS CENTER - SDF announced that 9 prison personnel captured by ISIS in Sinaa Prison were rescued and 17 ISIS members were killed in yesterday's operations.
The Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) Press Center made a statement regarding the operation launched after the ISIS attacks on Hesekê on January 20. In the statement, which stated that the operation launched in Sinaa Prison, the eastern countryside of Deir ez-Zor and Raqqa continues, it was noted that 9 personnel captured by ISIS were rescued and evacuated to a safe area.
OPERATION IS STILL ONGOING
Announcing that 5 ISIS members were killed in the operations carried out in the Zihûr District, the SDF continued: “In the conflict that broke out as a result of the raid to the east of Xiwêran, 9 mercenaries, 2 of whom were suicide bombers, were killed. In the operation launched in the Xabûr River in the south of Hesekê, 3 ISIS mercenaries who were planning to help the ISIS mercenaries in Sinaa Prison escape, were killed. Our forces continue the operation meticulously in and around the Sinaa Prison, in the eastern countryside of Deir ez-Zor and in Raqqa.”
