People's Defense Units (YPG) Press Spokesperson Siyabend Elî announced that the ISIS attack on Hesekê was planned 6 months ago in the Turkish-controlled cities of Serêkaniyê and Girê Spî. Speaking to the Mezopotamya Agency, Elî noted that 120 ISIS members, who were pretending to flee from the Turkish-backed paramilitary groups, were settled in Hesekê. Elî said, “The ISIS gangs we fought against from 2014 to 2019 are regrouping in Serêkaniyê and Girê Spi. They're getting training and planning attacks there." Noting that on January 20, simultaneous attacks were launched against their forces from these regions from everywhere, Eli drew attention to the very detailed plan.

* On December 23, 2021, Erin and the military officials accompanying him went to Girê Spi to “meet with the public”.
* On 17 December 2021, Governor Erin went to Serêkaniyê to 'meet with the public".

SOYLU HELD 3 MEETINGS
In addition to his frequent visits to the cities of Northern and Eastern Syria, Governor Erin also held 3 separate meetings on the same dates. With the participation of Interior Minister Süleyman Soylu, the governors of Urfa, meetings were held under the name of "Syria Task Force Meeting" in Hatay, Antep and Kilis. The latest videoconference meeting was held on January 12 with the participation of the governors of the provinces in question. On December 19, 2021, under the chairmanship of Soylu, the governors of four provinces gathered in Kilis. The same governors held a meeting via videoconference on 14 December 2021.
