'HIS HEART STOPPED'
Stating that his niece was hit by the armoured vehicle at 08.30 and he was taken to hospital, uncle Dayan said: "Everyone flocked to the hospital before I got there. They didn't let me see my niece when I got there. We were able to see him a while later and the minute we saw him, we knew he was going to die. The vehicle was too fast when it hit him. His heart had stopped. Then they brought him back but his heart was too slow. They told us that they were taking him to surgery but it didn't went well. He had internal bleeding. Precautions were taken but it wasn't working. Then they took him to the ICU. He was treated there for 2 days and then he lost his life."
'DON'T EXAGGERATE'
Pointing out that the Cizre District Security Director visited them at the hospital and told them not to 'exxaggerate', Dayan continued, "We told him that their armoured vehicles were speeding in the public spaces where there are old people and children and asked them not to allow these vehicles to roam the streets speeding. He denied the armoured vehicle was speeding and said: "Same thing happened a few days ago in Cizre. A citizen hit by a motorcycle was killed but no one said anything. You are twisting the subject because it is a police vehicle. Don't exxaggerate."
'HE WAS DRAGGED FOR 28 METERS'
Stating that measures must be taken to avoid these incidents, uncle Dayan said: "It shouldn't have been speeding in the city. We learned that my niece was dragged for 28 meters. That alone can kill a person. Then the ambulance came 40 minutes later. He laid in the snow for 40 minutes. These kinds of things in which the armoured police vehicles are involved happens a lot in our region. Precautions must be taken to avoid these incidents."
