DİYARBAKIR- Journalist Nurcan Yalçın was released by the court with measures for judicial control.
Nurcan Yalçın who was detained by the police during an operation run by the Diyarbakır Chief Public Prosecutor's Office on February 4 from her home, gave her statement to the police yesterday late at night. Nurcan was restricted from consulting with an attorney for 24 hours at the Anti-Terror Unit. Following the 24-hour restriction, Yalçın's lawyer learned that there was a confidentiality order on the file.
Yalçın is accused of videos of interviews with sources she made during the curfews declared in the Sur distict of Diyarbakır in 2015.
Yalçın was referred to the Diyarbakır Courthouse with a request of arrest. Yalçın was released with judicial control measures. Yalçın was welcomed by her colleagues in front of the courthouse after she was released.
