SIRNAK - A police officer in Şırnak pursued a lawyer, hit him with his car and fled the scene.  The lawyer, who is seriously injured, was rushed into surgery.

 

A police officer in the center of Şırnak left the lawyer he had hit with his vehicle and fled. Lawyer Serkan Karakaş (27) registered with Şırnak Bar Association was taken to Şırnak State Hospital by citizens. It was learned that Karakaş suffered severe damage to both of his knees and rushed into surgery.

 

KARAKAŞ IS SERIOUSLY INJURED

 

Şırnak Bar Association lawyer Serkan Karakaş, who was hit by the police deliberately was seriously injured. Karakaş undergone a three-hour surgery.  It was stated that both of Karakaş's knees were broken, and the first surgery went well. It was reported that Karakaş's cruciate ligaments was torn and that he could undergo a few more operations depending on his health status. 

 

POLICE CLAIMED HE WAS DEPRESSED

 

The police, who was taken into custody after the hit and run, said in his first statement at the police station that he was depressed and he was hearing things in his head and he came back and hit Karakaş. 

 

Şırnak Bar Association made a statement and told that they will be following the case.
