DİYARBAKIR - Scores of people, including journalists, were detained during house raids in Diyarbakır.
Within the scope of the investigation carried out by the Diyarbakır Chief Public Prosecutor's Office, police raided many houses simultaneously early this morning. Many people, including journalists, were detained. In the investigation carried out on the grounds of Newroz celebrations, it was learned that 57 people were detained.
Among those detained are Kurdish-language Xwebûn Newspaper Concessionaire Kadri Esen and journalist Ali Koçer. Those detained were taken to the Diyarbakır Police Department.
