DUHOK - KDP has started to dismiss peshmerga who refused to participate in the cross-border attacks.
The Kurdistan Democratic Party (KDP), which launched its attacks on Zap, Metîna and Avaşîn regions of the Federated Kurdistan Region with Turkey on April 17, began to put pressure on the peshmerga to join the war. Peshmerga is being forced to be involved in the attacks in which the Zerewanî and Gulan gangs affiliated with the Prime Minister of the Federal Kurdistan Region Mesrur Barzani and the Roj gangs are fighting.
Many peshmerga, who wanted to be persuaded by Barzani's instructions, refused to participate in the attacks, saying, "We will not fight against the PKK." It was learned that the peshmerga who did not participate in the attacks were dismissed. It was stated that the peshmerga who were dismissed were tried to be persuaded by a delegation formed by the order of Masrur Barzani.
