ISTANBUL - With the participation of thousands, a march has begun to Maltepe Square, where May 1 will be celebrated.
In Istanbul, the May 1 celebration started under the leadership of the Confederation of Revolutionary Trade Unions (DİSK), the Confederation of Public Workers' Unions (KESK), the Union of Turkish Chambers of Architects and Engineers (TMMOB), the Dentists' Union (TDB) and the Turkish Medical Association (TTB). The celebration, supported by the forces of democracy, is held in Maltepe Square this year with the motto "Together we will win". Workers and laborers gathered in groups in many parts of the city with banners containing their demands and flags, then met at Marmaray's Idealtepe Station. The mass, which has already exceeded thousands, are dancing the halay.

Women and students from universities, Peoples' Democratic Congress (HDK), Peoples' Democratic Congress (HDK) Youth Council, Peoples’ Democratic Party (HDP), HDP Youth Council, Democratic Regions Party (DBP), United Struggle Forces (BMG), Pir Sultan Abdal Cultural Association, Free Women's Movement (Tevgera Jinên Azad-TJA) and HDP and HDK Women's Councils and İstanbul Peace Mothers Council took their places in the corteges with their own banners.

Standing out with their white scarves and national dresses, the Peace Mothers carried the banners "Women don't want to fight" and "Now is the time for women", shouting slogans "Greetings, greetings, greetings to the dungeons" and "Greetings, greetings, greetings to to Imrali".
