ANKARA - President of the AKP, Recep Tayyip Erdogan instructed the judiciary by targeting politicians who made statements about Turkey's use of chemical weapons.
Answering the questions that made a statement to the journalists upon his return from Uzbekistan, Erdoğan instructed the judiciary based on the statements made regarding the chemical weapons attacks in the Zap, Metina and Avaşîn regions of Southern Kurdistan.
The son of AKP Melih Gökçek, candidate for parliament from the AKP list in the June 7, 2015 elections, Beyaz TV Editor-in-Chief Osman Gökçek, made statements by the Peoples' Democratic Party (HDP) and Republican People's Party (CHP) MPs about Turkey's use of chemical weapons, asked to Erdoğan that he intends to impose a sanction on these HDP and Republican People's Party MPs.
Stating that steps have been taken to lift the immunity of MPs who made statements about Turkey's use of chemical weapons, Erdogan said: "The legal process has started regarding them. The legal process is currently ongoing. Of course, the judge will do what is necessary. We will not give up on this matter."
