ANKARA - Reminding that the attack on the Ahmet Kaya Kurdish Cultural Center was recorded in the audio recordings of Ömer Güney, who murdered 3 Kurdish women in Paris, Journalist Selma Akkaya said: "The French state, which monitors but does not protect, has the primary responsibility."

Emine Kara (Evin Goyi), a member of the Kurdistan Communities Union (KCK) Executive Council and one of the leaders of the Kurdish women's movement, and artist Mir Perwer (Mehmet Şirin Aydın) and Abdurrahman Kizil, attacked with an armed attack in the Ahmet Kaya Kurdish Cultural Center in Paris, the capital of France, on 23 December, lost their life. The murderer William M. was transferred to the psychiatry clinic within the police department on the grounds that his "health status was not compatible with the conditions of detention". Following the condemnations, it was decided that he would be put on trial again.

While the massacre was protested in many parts of the world, especially in France, it was reminded that the massacre against Kurdish women Sakine Cansız, Leyla Şaylemez and Fidan Doğan on January 9, 2013 in Paris was not clarified. Journalist Selma Akkaya evaluated the massacre in Paris, the protests that followed, and France's attitude towards the massacre.

'KURDS WERE MASSACRED FOR THE SECOND TIME'

Reminding that Sakine Cansız, Fidan Doğan and Leyla Şaylemez were murdered on January 9, 2013, Akkaya said: "These women are symbols for the Kurdish women's movement. A Kurdish woman was murdered in the said attack. The Kurds, the people of Kurdistan and the Kurdish women's movement were targeted. We are again faced with a genocide against the Kurdish people. The massacre contains the same period and the time interval contains similarity with another massacre. In this sense, the Kurds were shot for the second time in Paris.”

AUDIO RECORDINGS OF ÖMER GÜNEY

Expressing that the January 9 massacre was not clarified, Akkaya said: “The Kurds were again the target. In this sense, the French authorities cannot say, 'This is an ordinary case, a situation carried out by a racist'. This cannot be an explanation that the Kurds can accept. After the 1st massacre, Ömer Güney was talking about this institution and the scanning of this institution in the audio recordings. In the court's referral region, it was said that Ömer Güney received the order for this massacre either from the MIT or from a group within the MIT.

'FRANCE IS PRIMARILY RESPONSIBLE FOR THE MASSACRE'

Stating that despite the numerous data regarding the incident in question, the fact that the employees were watched and the voice recording, the security of the institution was not taken for 10 years, Akkaya said: “The French state, which monitors but does not protect, has the primary responsibility. France left the Kurds to their fate. It once again became the basis for the killing of Kurds. Kurds are not about the identity of the murderer, his nation. It was said that those who gave the order for this massacre and that France were the ground for it were told that as long as you do not enlighten the first one, the second one will happen, the ground for the 3-4th one will be formed, but it is France that does not enlighten it. The Kurds are saying that the Kurds on French soil should not be the target of bullets once again."

THE MASSACRE CASE CONSIDERED TO BE AN ORDINARY MURDER'

Stating that Evin Goyi's asylum application was rejected by the French state due to security problems, Akkaya said: "Goyi was allowed to be murdered on French soil. The murder of the artist Mir Perver, who received political asylum and is under the protection of the Geneva Convention, on the streets of Paris is a terror in itself. We have a state understanding that does not accept this. We are faced with a state policy that standardizes the person in question and treats this case as a normal act of killing."
