URFA - Pointing out that ISIS's mobility in Northern and Eastern Syria has increased with international support, Fırat Research Center Public Relations Officer Welîd Çolî stated that the latest attacks are the result of this support.
Welîd Çolî, Public Relations Officer of the Fırat Research Center, stated that DAESH's mobility has increased recently with international support. Speaking to the Hawar News Agency (ANHA), Welîd Çolî stated that Turkey, Russia, Syria and Iran are using ISIS for their own interests.
'ISIS GANGS ARE BEING MARKETED'
Referring to the ISIS activities in the Northern and Eastern Syrian countryside and in the Hol Camp, Welîd Çolî said: "ISIS organized trainings for this purpose between 2019 and 2022 and organized many people. Regional and international powers play a role in increasing gang activity. These forces are using ISIS gangs as a political trump card for their interests. The Turkish state, in particular, has been trying to implement its plans with this method since 2014. In addition, in the negotiations between Turkey - Russia, Turkey - Syria and Turkey - Iran - Russia, ISIS gangs are marketed openly and secretly. The presence of ISIS in the region is in their interests. Russia wants to create the perception that 'The Coalition cannot solve the ISIS problem and there is no need for a coalition in the region' by using ISIS against the International Coalition, adding that this method sends a message to the USA and its allies."
'PLANS AGAINST THE GAINS OF REGION'
Stating that the plans and projects of these forces are against the gains of the Kurds and the region, Çolî said: "The government of Damascus is also trying to develop alliances with Turkey for this purpose. Turkey wants to destabilize Northern and Eastern Syria and make ISIS the front line. Russia and Iran also want to push the US and International Coalition forces away from the region by strengthening relations with Turkey."
