DİYARBAKIR- CHP MP Sezgin Tanrıkulu, who held a press conference on the earthquake, said: "The people of Diyarbakır started to show solidarity among themselves, this should set an example for all of Turkey."
Republican People's Party (CHP) Istanbul MP Sezgin Tanrıkulu and Diyarbakır Provincial President Abdullah Atik held a press conference regarding the earthquakes in Maraş. Speaking at the meeting held at the CHP Diyarbakır Provincial Presidency, Tanrıkulu said: "I have been in the city since the first day of the earthquake. The earthquake still continues. In Diyarbakır, 409 of our citizens lost their lives, more than a thousand of our citizens were injured and many of our citizens are still struggling in intensive care. According to the damage assessment studies, many houses are uninhabitable.”
'WE WILL SERVE JUSTICE AND PEACE'
Drawing attention to the solidarity built by the people of Diyarbakır after the earthquake, Tanrıkulu said: “The people of Diyarbakır started solidarity among themselves on the day of the earthquake, this should set an example for all of Turkey. Our citizens are still dying under the rubble, especially in Diyarbakır, Adıyaman, Maraş, Hatay, Malatya and Elbistan. Here I am calling out to AKP; We will ask him to account for this politically. They will give an account, we will put an end to this unfair system. As CHP, we will re-establish Turkey. We will serve a livable, just and peaceful Turkey in the 2nd century.”
