URFA- Şenyaşar family continues the sit-in in front of the courthouse during the Ramadan feast.

 

The Justice Watch carried out by the Şenyaşar family has reached 760. The sit-in was launched on March 9, 2021 by Emine Şenyaşar, who lost her husband and two sons as a result of the attack carried out by AKP MP İbrahim Halil Yıldız's bodyguards and relatives in the Suruç province of Urfa, on June 14, 2018. Emine Şenyaşar and her son Ferit Şenyaşar, who came to Urfa Courthouse from their house in Pirsûs district, were accompanied by their relatives. The family continued their sit-in in front of the banner reading "Justice for the Şenyaşar family".

 

Making a statement in front of the courthouse with his relatives, Ferit Şenyaşar said: "Today is the 760th day of our struggle for sit-in and the first day of the Ramadan Feast of the Islamic world. According to Urfa traditions, family members gather at the elders' house and celebrate. Our house has been in front of the Urfa Courthouse for 2 years. Today, we are having a sad feast with our relatives in front of the courthouse. Our demand is justice. We have hope in elections. All the people of Urfa have embraced this struggle of the mother. It is our hope that when justice is served after the election, we celebrate the Ramadan Feast at our home with our family."
