ŞIRNEX - Condemning the clothes of Hezni İnan, the daughter of Taybet İnan, whose lifeless body was held in the middle of the street for a week, being given to her family after 8 years, and said, "We felt the same pain again. We will take courage from those dresses and fight."
Hezni İnan, the daughter of Taybet Ana (İnan), who was murdered during the curfew declared on December 14, 2015 in Şirnex's Silopiya (Silopi) district and whose body was held in the middle of the street for 7 days, was also burned to death during the curfew in Cizîr in the same period. Hezni İnan's burned and torn clothes were delivered to her family in 3 envelopes by the police 8 years later. Women members of the Peace Mothers Council from Botan condemned the dresses being sent after 8 years and called on everyone to protect the bodies.
'WE WILL TAKE COURAGE FROM DRESSES'
Nebahat Acar (68), one of the mothers, stated that disrespect towards corpses is not acceptable and said: “Everyone knows very well how Mother Taybet was murdered. His daughter was also murdered in the basements of Cizir. After 8 years, they gave her daughter's burnt clothes to her family. We will not forget our children. So far, they have delivered dozens of bodies to families in boxes. We condemn this mentality. No matter what they do, we will not stop walking on the same path our children walk. This path is the path of honor. Every Kurd who says he has honor and dignity should not accept this. If this state had a conscience, would it deliver our bodies to us in a box?"
Calling on the public to take a stand against attacks on funerals, Acar said: “This is inhumane. What does it mean to send burnt and torn clothes after 8 years? Are you doing this to scare us? I swear to God we are not afraid, by God we are not afraid. We will take courage from those dresses and fight harder."
