ANKARA - The musical instrument sent to imprisoned journalist Fırat Can Arslan was not given due to the "possibility of organizational communication notes" despite the regulation.
The bağlama (musical instrument) was sent to Mezopotamya Agency (MA) reporter Fırat Can Arslan, who is in Sincan No. 1 High Security Prison was not given to him. The bağlama sent to Arslan last August was not given on the grounds that "it is available in the canteen, we do not buy it from outside". In the decision made by the Administration and Observation Board, which met on the issue on August 25 upon Arslan's objection, it drew attention the 10th article in the regulation of goods that can be kept in prison and the 27th article regulating the canteen services as well as the regulation of providing musical instruments in this article. In the decision, it was stated that musical instruments could be given to the prisoner, and items that were not in the canteen could be procured from outside.
BAĞLAMA DID NOT COMPLY WITH THE REGULATION
In its decision, despite the regulations in favor of Arslan, the board cited issues such as the security of the prison and the prevention of crime, stating that it was impossible to search in detail the baĞlama sent to Arslan without causing any damage to its internal parts, and that "organizational communication notes may have been hidden inside the context". ” and decided not to grant the binding.
THERE IS AN ORGANIZATION, BUT IT HAS NO NAME!
Even though Arslan was arrested under TMK-6, the board included the concept of "organization" in its decision. However, in the decision, which did not mention any "organization" name, Arslan was also asked to purchase a bağlama through the administration by paying money.
OBJECTION TO THE DECISION
Arslan appealed to the Execution Judgeship regarding the decision of the Administration and Observation Board.
