ŞIRNEX - A fire broke out in the vineyards and gardens that were combed with heavy weapons in Bana village, which is under military blockade.
Bana (Ormaniçi) village in Şirnex'(Şırnak)s Basa (Güçlükonak) district has been under military blockade for about 2 months. On September 15, when the blockade continued, entry and exit to 5 regions, including the rural area of Bana village, was banned. Village residents cannot go to their vineyards and gardens due to the ban. Village residents had to send their animals to another village because rural areas were prohibited.
After the ban decision, rural areas were bombed with heavy weapons. For this reason, a fire broke out in the vineyards, gardens and rice fields in the lower part of the village. The villagers we interviewed about the fire stated that soldiers had been randomly scanning the areas where the gardens were located since the morning hours, and therefore a fire broke out in the rice fields.
It was stated that the fire, which was not intervened, spread.
