NEWS CENTER - Due to Turkey's attacks, the gas and electricity power plant in the Cizre Region of Northern and Eastern Syria was largely out of service.
The infrastructure and superstructure have been damaged due to Turkey's attacks on Northern and Eastern Syria since October 4. According to ANHA agency; The Siwêdiyê power plant, located 18 kilometers away from the Rimêlan district of the Qamishlo canton, was 80 percent out of service. It was stated that the power plant in question is the largest gas and electricity power plant in the Cizre region. It was also reported that the power plant provides electricity to all water stations of the cities in the region.
The same power plant was bombed by Turkish warplanes on October 23, 2022 and got 40 percent damage.
