NEWS CENTER - Residents of Maxmur Camp protested Turkey's ongoing attacks and condemned the international silence.
Today, Turkey once again targeted the Maxmur(Makhmur) Refugee Camp with an Armed Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (Drone). A woman was injured in the attack. After the attack, camp residents came together and condemned Turkey. Speaking at the protest in front of the Martyrs' Families Institution, Maxmur People's Council Co-chairperson Yusuf Kara said that Mexmur was targeted twice in a week.
Kara said: "The first attack was carried out against the mosque and the second against Rojhat Salih's house. We condemn the silence of the Iraqi and international public opinion in the face of the attacks. We wanted the attacks to be stopped. Citizens were being subjected to a massacre similar to the massacres experienced in Israeli attacks. The attacks on them were not seen. We see that international states, neighboring states and the state we live in are calling on Israel not to commit massacres. However, the Iraqi state, to which we are guests, does not see and does not speak out against the two attacks carried out against the Martyr Rustem Cudi Refugee Camp within a week. This is a sad situation that raises questions."
