NEWS CENTER - In the cities of Northern and Eastern Syria, shutters are down and mass marches began due to the 25th anniversary of the conspiracy against PKK Leader Abdullah Ocalan.
Protests are being held in many centers around the world on the 25th anniversary of the bringing of PKK Leader Abdullah Ocalan to Turkey on February 15, 1999, who is held in absolute isolation in Imralı Type F High Security Closed Prison. One of the centers where the conspiracy, which the Kurds call "Roja Reş (Dark Day)", is protested is the cities of Northern and Eastern Syria.
On the anniversary of the conspiracy, life stopped in Northern and Eastern Syria and Aleppo. Shopkeepers take down the shutters of their workplaces. While citizens wore black dresses, posters of Abdullah Ocalan were hung in their homes.
Tens of thousands of people are protesting the conspiracy with large marches in many cities of Northern and Eastern Syria.
