NEWS CENTER - The autobiography book titled "Always in the fight" written by Mehmet Alçınkaya, who is imprisoned in Kandıra No. 2 Type F, was not given to him on the grounds that it "had motivational content and educational quality".

The book titled ""22 Days in the Madhouse - Ill Prisoners on the Cross", written by Resul Kocatürk, a prisoner of 28 years in Kırıkkale Type F Closed Prison, was not given to him as it was deemed "objectionable" by the prison administration. The same situation was encountered this time in Kandıra No. 2 Type F Prison.

The autobiography book titled "Always in the fight" written by Mehmet Alçınkaya, who is imprisoned in Kandıra No. 2 Type F, was not given to him by the prison administration. The reason is the book "has motivational content and educational quality".

Alçınkaya expressed this situation in the letter he sent with the following words:

“I am Mehmet Alçınkaya, who has been imprisoned in Kandıra No. 2 Type F Prison for approximately 5 years. First of all, I congratulate everyone on Eid and greet them with the hope of a holiday-like society in a brotherly world.

My autobiography book, 'Always in the fight', in which I wrote about my 45-year experience of fighting in the prison and my memories starting from my childhood, was published in February. They haven't delivered me the book I wrote for over a month. Every time I asked the prison administration and the education unit, they said that the book was examined, and lastly, the education unit said that the book was in the prison warden's possession. It was clear that there is something against me.

Meanwhile, I learned that there was no problem with the book and that it was being sold, and that it had reached many prisoners in prison and they had started reading it.

When it was not given for a month, DEM Party Kocaeli Deputy Omer Faruk Gergerlioglu called the prison warden to talk about this issue. When the manager called for other matters, he did not answer the phone and avoided meeting with me again. Thereupon, Gergerlioglu called the Ministry of Justice and talked to the deputy minister. He expressed the fact that the book was not given, the attitude of the prison warden and the situation experienced.

The petition I wrote just before the holiday was answered that the book would not be given. The reason is that 'it has motivational content and educational quality'.

Apparently, they are disturbed by the prisons turning into production areas and are trying to prevent it. My answer to those who cannot tolerate us not giving up on struggling, producing and thinking; My struggle from yesterday to today, always in a fight."
