ŞIRNEX - While 5 of the wounded in the explosion in Silopi were discharged, 3 of them are still being treated.
Eight people were wounded in the explosion that occurred yesterday on Siyahkaya road in the countryside of Gite (Çalışkan) town in Silopi district of Şirnex (Şırnak). Abit Çevik lost his life. After the explosion, the wounded were transferred to Silopi State Hospital and 5 people were discharged after the first intervention. While the treatment of Nadir Timur, who is in serious condition, continues in the intensive care unit of Silopi State Hospital, two of the wounded were transferred to different hospitals in Amed (Diyarbakır).
MINISTER'S STATEMENT ON 'ENMITY'
Minister of Interior Ali Yerlikaya had announced yesterday that "the attack carried out from the north of Iraq is considered to have been caused by the enmity related to the coal mine operated in the region".
