16 people detained in Istanbul

NEWS CENTER - 16 people were detained in Istanbul for calling for "April 2 consumption boycott" on virtual media.

Many political parties, civil society organizations and individuals across Turkey called for a "boycott" on 2 April. As part of the investigation initiated by the Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office, 16 people were detained for amking the call on virtual media. 
 
The detainees were taken to Istanbul Security Directorate at midnight within the scope of the investigation initiated with the allegations of "hate and discrimination" and "inciting the public to hatred and hostility".
