ANKARA - DEM Party Colemêrg MP Öznur Bartın has brought the issue of women prisoners in Sincan Women's Closed Prison being housed in sunless, damp and smelly wards to the Human Rights Monitoring Commission.
Peoples' Equality and Democracy Party (DEM Party) Colemêrg (Hakkari) MP Öznur Bartın applied to the Parliamentary Human Rights Monitoring Commission (İHİK) for the improvement of the health problems and physical conditions of women prisoners in Sincan Women's Closed Prison.
THE WARD IS DAMP AND SMELLS BAD

Öznur Bartın stated that Süheyla Taş and other prisoners were placed in a ward that does not see the sun, is damp and smells bad, and that this situation violates the right of prisoners to be held in healthy conditions.
In the application, it was stated that "the physical conditions of women prisoners in Sincan Women's Closed Prison should be examined on site, information should be obtained from the prison administration regarding these allegations and prisoners' demands for ward change should be fulfilled".
VISIT REQUEST
In the application, the Human Rights Monitoring Commission requested a visit to Sincan Women's Closed Prison to find a solution to the poor conditions faced by women prisoners in prison.
