TRABZON - 12 members of the People's Houses and the Student Collectives who took to the streets to celebrate May Day in the Ortahisar district of Trabzon were detained.
Members of People's Houses and Student collectives was detained while they were going to make a press release for the May Day. The group carrying a banner written, "Resist Black Sea, against the opportunism of pandemic, pillage of nature, poverty, resist Turkey". Mentioning the indoor congresses of the AKP, the group said: "There is unemployment, tyranny and poverty for the people. We stand with the labourers. How strong may they come onto us. We will continue to take to the streets against this plunder."
A WOMAN WAS INJURED
People's Houses Executive Board Member Berna Demirtaş was injured as a result of the police throwing her under a vehicle. 12 people were detained.
