URFA - Demanding justice with a sit in in front of the Urfa Court House, Emine Şenyaşar said: "Have you ever heard people being murdered at the hospital. They slaughtered my husband right in front of me. People are healed in hospitals, not killed."
The sit in Emine Şenyaşar who lost her husband and two sons in the attack carried out by the relatives and bodyguards of AKP Urfa MP İbrahim Halil YIldız, and her son Ferit Şenyaşar who survived the attack injured continues in front of the Urfa Court House on its 93rd day. The sit in started a little late today because the family spoke to Fadıl Şenyaşar who is currently behind bars, on the phone.
'IS THIS JUSTICE?'
Stating that she spoke to her son in prison for 20 minutes on the phone, mother Emine Şenyaşar drew attention to the prison conditions. Şenyaşar said: "He is held in solitary confinement for 3 years now. This is cruel. They murdered 3 people from my family and put one behind bars. Have you ever heard of people being killed in hospitals? Hospitals are for healing people, not killing them. They slaughtered my husband right in front of me. They crushed my husband's skull. Is this justice? I have been sitting here for 3 months. I want my son to be released. We were shopkeepers. We didn't harm anyone in our lives. I have been sitting here for 3 months. I have trouble seeing. We can't handle this cruelty. Is killing people free for members of parliament? Why aren't they prosecuting him?"
'JUSTICE IS BLIND AND DEAF'
The family shared their message via their social media account and said: "Our struggle for justice is on its 93rd day. We travel for 40 kilometers everyday to come here. This, we do not find difficult. What is hard for us is that the justice is blind and deaf to our demand for justice."
