NEWS CENTER - The YouTube account of the documentary "Kurdish Resurrection" was shut down for "violating the policies of a violent criminal organisation". Gulistan TARA Documentary Commune reacted to the censorship.
The documentary series "Kurdish Resurrection", which sheds light on the history of resistance of the Kurdish people, has faced various attacks and blockages. Lastly, the YouTube platform closed the official account of the documentary and blocked access to the content. YouTube's claim of "violating the policies of a violent criminal organisation" as a justification for the closure of the channel was met with reaction by the producers of the documentary.
In the statement made by the "Martyr Gülistan TARA Documentary Commune", it was stated that "The narration of the testimonies of the period, documents and visuals of historical processes were criminalised, and our objective and historical truthful narration was tried to be prevented".
However, despite all obstacles, the documentary continues to be broadcast in different media. Viewers can watch the documentary "Kurdish Resurrection" on Stêrk TV, Medya Haber TV and Telegram channel.
